FREESCREEN ANNOUNCEMENT

Freescreen used to broadcast news about local clubs and charities in the southern counties and show locally produced amateur films and videos.

A number of RFVM members [Jane Smart, Bernard Bareham, Bruce Dawes and Laurie Joyce amongst them] were very happy to take advantage of this. Freescreen also paid around £80 a go for each video broadcast. A nice little earner and also nice to say your work had been shown on TV even it is at 5am!!

Sadly Freescreen have just announced that due to structural changes they will no longer exist. So if you had been thinking about having a go, I am sorry you have left it too late!

Unfortunately Mike was recently involved in a traffic accident [not his fault] which has left him with a damaged hip. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him again at our club nights
