EDITORIAL

By Andy Jones

Well, this season seems to be racing along! Unfortunately I haven't been able to make it as much this year as I would like, but the quality of work this year has been more than impressive enough to make up for that when I have attended. It's been a pleasure to read out the names of the winners of the season's competitions so far on the radio on my evening show, I'm sure one or two of you are building up a fan-base without even realising it!!.

Anyway, how are you? I hope you enjoy this particular issue of the In Focus magazine. It's about twice the size of any previous edition, so hopefully there should be something in it that will suit everyone's taste.

Amongst other articles, I've been doing some experiments with 'cinematic' depth of field shots, and hope my conclusions prove to be of interest to some of you.

And our feature story in this issue comes from Francis. I won't spoil the details for you, but you may want to ask for Francis' autograph before soon…

So all in all, we've got some good stuff here, and don't forget that if you would like to contribute an article or anything at all that might be of interest to your fellow members, don't hesitate to get in touch with me: drew@davandi.plus.com.

Right, I better get on, I'm going on air in half an hour.

Happy filming!
