CHAIRMAN'S CHAT The 2004/5 season has gone very well to date. We have had some new members join us and some old faces returning both of which are most welcome. I am delighted with the enthusiasm in the Club as this is infectious and keeps us all going. The current committee is very forward thinking and the newer committee members are having a positive impact on the direction we are going. There is some concern over the lower numbers at meetings. Our overall membership is marginally down on recent years but the current numbers are in line with the longer term average. Nevertheless if there is any reason why you or a friend are not coming along please do tell us. We do listen and do try an accommodate every wish. It's not always possible but we will consider every request seriously. After all it is YOUR club and what comes out depends on what WE put in! I am approaching my last few months as your Chairman. It has been a continued honour to stand and present RFVM as one of the best clubs in the UK. I do hope we aee that continue and that our Chairman elect, Geoff Addis, gets as least as much support you have given me. I I know I will look forward to his period of tenure for many reasons! I hope you continue to enjoy the special atmostphere of RVFM throughout the rest of this season and in the future. |
